Itinerary

DAY 01: GUAYAQUIL

Welcome! At your arrival you will be pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

 

DAY 02: GUAYAQUIL – BALTRA – SANTA CRUZ – CHARLES DARWIN SCIENTIFIC STATION

Breakfast at the hotel.

You will be transfer to the airport in Guayaquil for your flight to Baltra, Galapagos (not included).

Galapagos is volcanic archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. It’s considered one of the world’s foremost destinations for wildlife-viewing. At your arrival you will be transfer to the hotel in Puerto Ayora, lunch.

PM: visit of Charles Darwin Station and Van Stralen Exhibition Center, dinner.

The Charles Darwin Research Center was created in 1960 by an international committee to promote research, conservation, and education in the Galapagos Islands. At the center, you can tour the Van Straelen Exhibition Center, friendly staff members are available to answer questions about the islands and the ongoing restoration process. You will be able to
observe the 11 subspecies of tortoises up close. In the rearing house, hatchlings and young tortoises are nurtured until they can be released. The ones that can’t be released have a place in the adult tortoise house.A great place to take close up pictures! In this place you can see the last remaining member of the Isla Pinta subspecies, Lonesome George. He is estimated to be between 100 and 150 years old.

                       

DAY 03: NAVIGATION DAY, SELECT YOUR FAVORITE OPTION

OPTION 1: SANTA FE – PLAYA ESCONDIDA

Islote La Botella – sighting of seabirds, sea lions and iguanas.

The Encañada – first snorkeling, you can observe shoals of fish, turtles, sharks, sea lions and an excellent landscape of the seabed.

Santa Fe Bay – second snorkeling, you can observe shoals of fish, turtles, sharks, sea lions and an excellent landscape of the seabed.

Lunch

Playa Escondida – swim, observation of marine species, sharks, turtles, manta rays, etc.

OPTION 2: ISABELA

The lagoon of flamingos: we will see the flamingos and other species in a natural state.

Galapaguera Breeding Center: in this Center will observe turtles of all ages and learn about the process of breeding and breeding in captivity to recover the populations of these reptiles on the island.

Lunch. – in the restaurant of the town.

PM: Enjoy the bay with shallow, calm and transparent water that allows you to observe the fascinating marine fauna of the Galapagos

PM: return in boats to Santa Cruz, dinner.

DAY 04: TORTUGA BAY – RANCHO PRIMICIAS – GEMELOS

AM: breakfast, visit tortoise bay beach approximately 2 km in length with white sand formed by fish bones and white coral, considered sanctuary of iguanas, sea turtles and other species.

PM: walk to the tunnels of love, famous lava tunnels, where we will have a fun and informative geological visit, dinner.

Note: You can add our Medellín or Cartagena programs after Bogota!

DAY 05: SANTA CRUZ – RETURN

AM: breakfast and transfer from the hotel to the airport (Baltra), on the way we will enjoy stunning landscapes as we cross the Itabaca canal, admiring for the last time the unique paradise offered by the enchanted Islands.

Return flight (not included).
