ITINERARY

DAY 01: CALGARY

Arrive at Calgary International Airport, after clearing immigration, transfer to the hotel. Calgary is the largest city in Alberta and the fifth largest in Canada. The city is found on the Bow River and about 80 kilometers from the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Calgary is known for The Canadian Pacific Railway Headquarters. It is a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers and owes its rapid growth to its status as the center of Canada’s oil industry. After all, Calgary has been named the world’s fifth most livable city by the Economist for seven years in a row, earning top marks for stability, healthcare, and education. When it comes to cost of living, Calgary is more expensive than cities like Montreal and Winnipeg, but cheaper than Toronto and Vancouver.

DAY 02: CALGARY – BANFF

After breakfast, this morning we head to Banff.  Arrival in Banff, check in at the hotel.  Banff is a resort town in the province of Alberta, located within Banff National Park along the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 126 km (78 mi) west of Calgary and 58 km (36 mi) east of Lake Louise. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. The surrounding 6,500 square kilometers of parkland are home to wildlife including elk and grizzly bears.

DAY 03: BANFF

After breakfast wait in the lobby for tour pickup. Today, we will explore Banff’s iconic highlights and take in multiple views of the famous peaks. First, we will proceed to Sulphur Mountain. Here you will make an ascent to the top of Sulphur Mountain aboard the Banff Gondola, which ferries passengers to the peak of the 7,486-foot (2,281-meter) mountain. Heighten your senses with six stunning mountain ranges and the sweep of the Bow Valley – the views from the Sulphur Mountain summit are nothing short of breathtaking. And there is much more to discover in a state-of-the-art building that will heighten your senses at every turn. After a few photos stops we will head back down. Next continue to Tunnel Mountain Drive, where you can enjoy views of the town, Mount Rundle, Cascade Mountain and Bow Falls. Along the way, you’ll also have a chance to view the hoodoos, a series of interesting rock pillars shaped by countless years of wind and water. End your day at Two Jack Viewpoint and Lake Minnewanka, and then head back down the mountain for drop-off at your hotel.

DAY 04: JASPER VIA COLUMBIA ICE FIELD

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will enjoy an amazing tour. We will go to Jasper en-route the Columbia Ice fields. Picturesque setting for tours of a large glacier, with a glass skywalk overlooking mountains & ice. Discover the power of nature on the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure, the must-do experience in the Canadian Rockies. The Icefields Parkway and the Athabasca Glacier are one of the Canadian Rockies’ most beautiful and fascinating sights. The many attractions, guided tours and interpretive experiences will give you the opportunity to have fun exploring and learning about this incredible natural environment. At the heart of the incredible Icefields Parkway is one of the largest non-polar ice fields in the world; this tour allows you to see glaciers up close and discover how they have shaped our landscape. A once-in-a-lifetime ride on the Athabasca Glacier will have you drinking water fresh from the ice. The trip continues to the awe-inspiring Glacier Walk before ending in Jasper. This 1km walkway leads visitors to a glass-floor observation platform overlooking a 280m drop.

DAY 05: JASPER – VANCOUVER

Breakfast at the hotel, proceed to check out and head to board the bus for Edmonton Airport to fly to Vancouver.  Vancouver is a beautiful and vibrant city, surrounded by water and mountains. It was voted the best city for its quality of life in 2001 and hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010. Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. A popular filming location, it’s surrounded by mountains, and has thriving art, theatre, and music scenes. Vancouver Art Gallery is known for its works by regional artists, while the Museum of Anthropology houses preeminent First Nations collections.

DAY 06: VANCOUVER

We will start today after breakfast with a city tour of Vancouver. Ride and relax with our unique, guided commentary through Vancouver’s vibrant downtown. See spectacular waterfront landmarks including the sails of Canada Place and the bustling Robson Street shopping strip. Then soak in the view over Lions Gate Bridge as we venture to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park; this suspension bridge spans 450 feet over a 230-foot canyon. Here you will be thrilled with both the natural surroundings and all that the park has to offer. Take a stroll on the Cliff walk, or saunter with the clouds in the Treetops Adventure. Next up are the sandy shores of English Bay on the west side of Stanley Park, and then a stop to tour the wonders of Granville Island. Finally, a scenic drive through the historic neighborhoods of Chinatown and Gastown. Tour highlights are Downtown, Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Robson Street, Olympic Village, and much more.

DAY 07: DEPARTURE

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head towards the airport for your next destination/home.
