ITINERARY

DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT BARCELONA

Barcelona, the home of Sagrada Família and Ramblas, opens its frontiers beyond the sea and reveals its magnificent modernist architecture and splendorous streets and avenues. As a contemporary version of early 20th century style, the capital of Catalonia offers plenty of unequalled venues and breath-taking views for the most particular events. The latest luxury and boutique hotels merge with lifelong accommodation sites that have become part of the history of this vibrant city. Barcelona, a treat for the senses, harmonizes Mediterranean charm and urban style as only a cosmopolitan city can do. The modernist part of the city of Barcelona is a must for anyone who visits the city. Modernism is scattered everywhere in Barcelona and has its maximum expressions in the stunning buildings of the architect Gaudí: Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. The visit of the modernist part includes a stop in each one of these buildings as well as the famous Parc Güell, designed by the same architect. On the other hand, the gothic part of the city is located in the former Roman fortification of the Barcelona. There are still some traces of the Romans and can be spotted in this area. During the visit through this area we will walk along the Ramblas, the famous avenue full of shops and human statues; the Call Quartier, so called for its narrow streets; the Cathedral, a clear example of the Catalan Gothic Style and the Royal Square, the ideal place to have a drink and some tapas.

DAY 02: BARCELONA CITY TOUR

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, go to your meeting point for departure for half day SIC tour of Barcelona. The tour includes a panoramic visit of the Modernist Barcelona including entrance to Sagrada Família. We continue through the city centre and we’ll end the tour at Spanish Village. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 03: BARCELONA TO SEVILLA

Breakfast at the hotel.

At a convenient time, transfer to the station for departure by fast-train to Sevilla. Sevilla is one of the fortunate cities that gathers both beauty and soul. It’s an exuberant display of culture and tradition. Any season is suitable for a visit to Sevilla although spring and, especially the month of April, is the ideal time of the year to come to this city. The city’s Fair and Easter (Holy Week Processions) gather thousands of visitors that want to taste the real charm of Spain. Sevilla is furnished with monuments, fine art and endless festivals and Spain’s most stunning Gothic Cathedral. A visit to this city will take you through the narrow and colorful streets of Santa Cruz’s district where to admire the amazing Cathedral or to the shore of Guadalquivir River where you can find the Torre del Oro. The Royal Palace and the Spanish Square are some of the sights that cannot be missed in Sevilla. The perfect way of ending a visit of the city is to taste some tapas together with Andalusia’s typical white wine: manzanilla.

DAY 04: SEVILLA

Today enjoy your hop on hop off day pass in Sevilla to explore the capital of Andalucia and discover its jewels.

DAY 05: SEVILLA TO MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. At a convenient time, transfer to the station for departure by fast-train to Madrid. Madrid, the capital of Spain, discovers its neoclassical influence in every corner and combines it with the latest touches of modernity that scatter all over the city. This eclecticism is evident in the most recent venues and buildings where the contemporary is added to the classical refinement characteristic of Madrid. Cibeles, Puerta de Alcalá and the Retiro Garden are the most representative landmarks of the capital of Spain, a beguiling and lively place where to definitely get lost a few days. Art, architecture, cuisine, nightlife… these all together turn Madrid into the ultimate in vogue destination where to enjoy the art of life. The city of Madrid is divided in the so-called barrios. One of these is known as Madrid of the Austria’s, corresponding to the ancient medieval layout of the city and the urban development undergone by the Austria’s with the reign of Carlos I and Felipe II. The tour through this barrio includes the visit of Orient’s Square, Bailen Street, Major Street, Town Square, Cisneros’ House, Lujanes Tower, Codo Street, Carboneras Convent, San Miguel Market, Major Square.

DAY 06: MADRID CITY TOUR

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, go to your meeting point for departure for half day SIC tour of Madrid. The tour includes entrances to Royal Palace (subject to institutional events). We’ll also discover the Old Madrid including Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Cibeles and Retiro Garden.

Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 07: DEPARTURE 

Breakfast in the hotel. At a convenient time, transfer to the airport for departure to city of origin.
